Freeloading on a 5-Day Hall Pass: Baguio to Elyu
Grateful for the 5-day break and even more thankful for the two poging kasama ko. It was fun—masaya pero bitin. But even in its brevity, that trip left me with a few lasting realizations.
On Friendships That Exist in Moments
I’ve come to realize that some friendships only hold meaning within the moment they exist. They thrive in shared laughs, quiet mornings, or messy road trip playlists—but once those moments pass, so can the bond.
And that’s okay.
Some experiences are meant to be fleeting. They might be etched in memory or forgotten in time, like old photos buried in a phone gallery—rarely revisited, but beautiful when found.
The Silence Between Two People Who Used to Love Each Other
Here’s a truth that hit me unexpectedly:
There is nothing louder than the silence between two people who used to love each other.
No rehearsed hellos. No small talk. Just… awkward air between shared pasts and unspoken words.
I’ve never felt a silence so full of things that were once said, or never said enough.
On Attraction, Resistance, and Emotional Echoes
That trip reminded me of something else too—
The law of attraction is real. It moves you. It confuses you. It humbles you.
Or maybe it’s simply this:
What you resist, persists.
Maybe some things are just meant to haunt you until you stop pretending they don’t.

Final Thoughts
I left that trip with tan lines and truths I didn’t ask for. But maybe that’s what we need sometimes—a short detour, a scenic route, and a little discomfort to remind us what we’ve been ignoring all along.
